Where Children Sleep photographed by James Mollison around the world.

"When photographer James Mollison was asked to do a project on children’s rights, he found himself thinking back to his childhood bedroom and the deep importance it played in his upbringing. Taking that idea with him around the world, he photographed a diverse cross section of children and the bedrooms they call home. His moving images remove the children from their home environment, showing them before a neutral background that mostly hides their economic status as if to say “kids are just kids.” Only when their bedroom is observed, however, does the full scope of their living situation become poiniently clear."

I found this article very interesting. Growing up I had a pink barbie room covered in... well yeah, BARBIE. I even had a life size barbie painted on my wall, along with every possible item in my room barbie themed. My brother had his Harry potter themed with a bigger than life size Harry Potter painted on his wall, it was pretty cool, as well as everything themed Harry. I must say if I had to pick a room at the age I am now, 17 I would definitely have gone with my brother's, not because I'm a die hard Harry Potter fan but because it looked like barbie had vomited everywhere - yeah too much.

"Stop being tormented by everyone else’s reaction to you.” - Joyce Meyer

Why do people care so much what other people think? Why? Why does it matter what other people think? The thing is, it doesn't. From my experience, spending your life caring what other people think is going to make you MISERABLE. So why do we waste our time caring what others think? Is it because we feel we need the acceptance of others in order to be happy?

It's so hard to put into words how much IT DOESN'T MATTER what ANYBODY thinks of you. No matter what, people are going to criticize you, bring you down, speak about you behind your back and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.

We all know people who try to be someone they're not around certain people to make sure that they're accepted by them. They might hide certain things about them self or mimic certain things from the other person, trying to be like the other person in a way, just so they can be sure that the other person will like them and accept them as a person. But why can't people just be themselves? and here again I will say... it's because THEY CARE TOO MUCH WHAT PEOPLE THINK.

BE YOURSELF AND DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT OTHERS THINK. So many people try to control what others think of them and try to make sure everyone likes them but no matter what THERE IS ALWAYS GOING TO BE SOMEBODY WHO HAS SOMETHING TO SAY and there is always going to be someone who doesn't like you or someone who talks about you behind your back or someone who just in general thinks/speaks negatively about you, no matter how hard you try and it could be for no reason at all. YOU CANNOT CONTROL IT. You cannot control other peoples thoughts, you cannot control what other people say or think about you, no matter what. Let's be honest everyone criticizes everyone. Even Beyonce gets bashed on a daily basis. But you know what you can control? CARING.

DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY AND DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT OTHERS THINK. If dancing around the streets naked makes you happy, GO FOR IT (although I wouldn't recommend it as you will more than likely be arrested.) But my point is whatever makes you happy, even if you think others will judge you DO IT... you know why you should do it? BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT OTHERS THINK. You've always wanted to do ballet but, one problem; you're a 25 year old male, science student and are afraid what others will think/say... well you know what I say FUCK THAT SHIT AND GO DANCE YOUR ASS OFF TILL YOUR TOES GO NUMB.

Plus one more thing -  People don't care about you as much as you think. They're too busy thinking about what other people think about them.
